Bayport starts in 1979, under the name "Puerto y Bahía", thanks to the idea of Mr. Rafael Fernández Vega, its founder. Begins its activity as General Ship Supplier in the Cádiz Port and soon expands its activity to other Ports like Sevilla, Huelva, Algeciras, El Puerto de Santa María or Rota.

The increase in the volume of business led the company to open its headquarters in 2005 in the Tres Caminos Industrial Estate, Puerto Real. From this central office, the majority of the services are coordinated are coordinated from this central office. The current General Manager and successor of its founder, Rafael Fernández Bernal, was present from the very beginning in 1979, when he took the reins of the company and shaped it to become what it is today. to become what Bayport is today. His innovative spirit initiated the opening of commercial missions in different countries and the growing participation of Bayport in international fairs.

This drive for growth brought with it the incorporation of a new way of working and the expansion of the customer base. Expertise, innovation, efficiency, immediacy and security become the values of the company and result in a positive geographical expansion. with 11 Branch Offices and two recently inaugurated in recent years, enabling us to offer our customers an increasingly more and more comprehensive and complete service to our customers. 

In 2017, what was previously known as Port and Bay, evolved into Bayport with a new corporate and visual image and a name adapted to the possibility of internationalisation. Desde los inicios de su actividad, Bayport ha estado profundamente marcada por su carácter orientado a la innovación dentro de su segmento empresarial, para poder abarcar mayores segmentos empresariales y divisiones comerciales, ofreciendo así un servició aún más completo a clientes.

Bayport cuenta con un departamento específico de I+D+I y Márketing para poder incorporar las Nuevas Tecnologías y Tecnologías de la Información (TIC’s) a su proceso habitual, facilitando así poder ofrecer un servicio completo, eficaz y eficiente. Cada vez más, los clientes se encuentran más satisfechos con sus pedidos y somos capaces de poder indicarles en tiempo y forma el estado de su pedido, además de recibir feedback instantáneo de las entregas realizadas.
